Do I have to be a student to participate in a Living Sport program?
Living Sport programs are designed to benefit college students, recent graduates and young professionals vying for a career in sport. An important piece when developing Living Sport was accommodating recent graduates, and not only students. This program was build by sport professionals that understand there may be a time period between graduation and your first full-time job in sport. Our program is the perfect fit that can catapult you to the next level.
Can I earn college credit by joining a Living Sport program?
Yes, participants can earn college credit for successfully completing a Living Sport program. Hundreds of students have been approved to utilize Living Sport for internship credits at colleges/universities around the country. Have your university contact us to register as an internship site. Participants will be responsible for collecting/organizing any paperwork necessary to receive the college credit.
I want to travel on a Living Sport Program, but it is scheduled during classes. What do you advise?
If a program is scheduled during your semester, we suggest communicating with your professors about the incredible opportunities joining a Living Sport program would provide to you. Once professors learn about our programing they likely will see how well this experience compliments the academic work of a classroom. We will even highlight breaks in our program itinerary that can be used for school work. If your professor would like to set up a call to discuss further, please contact us.
Who leads each Living Sport program?
All Living Sport programs are led by sport business professionals who have immense experience in the sport industry, and mentoring young professionals. This real-world expertise and advice is shared throughout the program.
Can I travel on more than one Living Sport program in one year?
Yes! You can super charge your experience with us by traveling on multiple programs in one year or come back to join another Living Sport program the following year.
Do I need a passport to travel with Living Sport?
Updated passports are required for all international programs. Passports cannot expire within 6 months of the program travel dates.
Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to travel with Living Sport?
Living Sport programs are available for non-U.S. citizens. However, the participant will be responsible for any necessary visas and/or government paperwork needed to travel.
How do program participants travel to the destination?
All program participants are responsible for getting themselves to and from the host city whether it be by plane, train, bus, car, etc. Upon acceptance, participants will be given instruction on travel details in terms of when/where to arrive and meet the group. Participants will be responsible for all travel related expenses.
If I live close to the host city can I drive?
Yes, if you are within a comfortable driving distance to the host city you can certainly drive. All expenses related to driving will be at your own expense (parking at the destination, gas, tolls, etc).
What are the benefits of joining a Living Sport program?

Not only will you gain valuable real world experience working a major sporting event, but you will build relationships and memories to last a lifetime. Adding a Living Sport program to your resume will impress future employers and will help you stand out from the competitive sport industry job market. How many participants travel on a Living Sport program?
Living Sport will generally recruit 25 participants for each program. Some programs may have a higher or lower capacity depending on the travel destination and event needs. You and your fellow participants will form a powerful force in the industry as you grow together and build strong ties within this network.

How can I fundraise to help cover my program costs?
Living Sport encourages participants to fundraise to help offset program costs. Whether you need to or not, fundraising is a great skill to add on a resume and will show future employers that you have sales skills. Living Sport will support you in your fundraising journey by providing a complete fundraising guide, templates on how to write a fundraising letter, ideas on different fundraising events, and more! How much does a Living Sport program cost and what’s included?
Living Sport program costs vary by program type. We offer full programs (10-days) and mini programs (4-5 days). Once accepted, payment plans will be put in place to provide time to fundraise. Please view program details for specific program costs.
What types of skills workshops are conducted on a Living Sport program?
During the skills workshops, we will direct you on how to best list this experience on your resume, tips for an effective interview, best practices for a career in sports, etc. Sport industry professionals will also be brought in as guest speakers throughout the program. Having direct access to professionals gives you the chance to ask questions and develop a relationship with them all week-long.

What is the Living Sport Alumni Network?
Your Living Sport journey does not end with a flight home after the program. Upon successfully completing a Living Sport program, participants are welcomed into the Living Sport Alumni Network - A community of over 450 Living Sport Alumni that are studying at universities across the country or working in different capacities of the sport industry. This network is a tight-knit community of like-minded individuals that are there to support you in your sport business career.
