At Living Sport, one of our main goals is to connect people to help grow their professional network. We have all heard that networking is a necessity in the sport industry and it is definitely true. The staff at Living Sport has all had help from their network along their journey through sport. Our Living Sport Tampa Bay Team will get to know each other very well on our adventure and it is our hope that each relationship lasts a lifetime! Let’s meet a few of our teammates.


JUSTIN MCcARTHY

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Ever since I was little, I have been involved in motorsports. The plan was to become an IndyCar driver but that didn’t happen, so I decided to combine my interest in motorsports with business. After interning at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, I fell in love with the event industry and decided I wanted to pursue a career in sporting events.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sports are Motorsports, specifically IndyCar, and hockey. My favorite teams are Team Penske, Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Blackhawks.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In the next 5 years, I would like to have a job in the events industry as a community outreach/ fan engagement manager or in event operations.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to be the president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. My next job will hopefully be an event operations intern at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? One unique trait I bring to the Living Sport team is my experience with event planning for large single-day events like the Super Bowl. I also majored in business with many different PR classes as electives giving me an understanding of how the businesses and teams operate from a perspective outside of sports management majors. I believe this knowledge and experience may allow me to look at and approach situations differently than others on the Living Sport team.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? Being early in my career, my biggest sport business accomplishment would be helping plan and execute the 2020 Indy 500. We definitely had some challenges throughout but being able to host the race in 2020 was a great accomplishment.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain knowledge and experience in other areas of the sports industry and build connections outside of motorsports. I have spent my entire college career focusing solely on motorsports and would like to explore other opportunities within the sports industry.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? I haven’t had the opportunity to travel a lot but my favorite city I have visited would have to be Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? One of my favorite hobbies is racing go-karts. I compete locally at many different tracks in Indiana and nationally across the Midwest Region and Florida.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I’m currently in my last year at IUPUI studying Marketing, Business Management, andInternational Studies. I currently live in Indianapolis.


John adkins

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Seeing how sports brings people together and how effortlessly I enjoy it.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? I’ve played various sports before but it’s probably ice hockey. I roll with the OKC Thunder and Oklahoma college football...but also the Pittsburgh Penguins.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? Sports data analytics with an entity like SAP Sports/Ent. or a specific team.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? I always wanted to have a show like Colin Cowherd, but make it about hockey.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? I mesh well with a team, and it can be people I do or don’t know very well.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? In my humble opinion, the impact I made on my college hockey team. I modeled my work after what I see from other professionals.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? Network, meet other aspiring sports people in the same situation, and have fun.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? Arezzo, Italy on a study abroad. Fantastic pasta!

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? SCUBA-diver. Record is 100 feet down.

Nicole maroney

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? When I was in 5th grade I was gifted a book named Best Seat in the House by Christine Brennan. My great uncle actually knew Christine’s father and thought the book would intrigue me. In the book, Christine describes how she got involved in sports and her journey to becoming a sports columnist. I was fortunate enough to talk to Christine about her book which really sparked my interest. This book paired with my involvement in sports drew me in to seeking a career in the sports industry. I have always been an athlete and when I couldn’t play sports anymore, I decided that I still wanted to be involved through my career.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is hockey. I grew up cheering and am still cheering for Notre Dame, Ohio State, and the Chicago Blackhawks.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I would love to be working in ticket sales, community relations, or in a college athletic department.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream since I was little has been to work for a professional hockey team. During the summers, I work as a cabin counselor at Culver Summer Schools and Camps located in Culver, Indiana and when I am not at camp or at school I work for my family’s restaurant, Redamak’s in New Buffalo, Michigan.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? I bring a unique perspective to every situation I am a part of. I try to think outside of the box and bring new ideas to the table.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? Before attending Trine University, I was at Southwestern Michigan College which is a small community college in Dowagiac, Michigan where I earned my associate’s degree in sports management. In the sports management program, there was a total of 10 students. Each year the program puts on an annual project. During my two years there, I was elected to be the Project Lead; meaning I was in charge of overseeing all my classmates and putting the event on. The first year we organized a Special Olympics basketball tournament where we hosted athletes from the Kalamazoo region. The second year, we put on a Prospective Students Day to attempt to bring in more students to our program.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain a new perspective on the sports industry as well as network with professionals in the sports industry and my peers on the trip.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? I have been very fortunate enough to travel all over the world. It is definitely a tie between Spain and Costa Rica.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? I attended a boarding school for high school where I was a 3 sport athlete for all four years... and no it was not like Zoey 101.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I have an associate’s degree in Sports Management from Southwestern Michigan College and I am currently a junior attending Trine University majoring in Sport and Recreation. I currently reside in New Buffalo, Michigan.


Tyler britton

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Sports have been a big part of my life growing up. With my dad in the military and the family moving a lot, it was an outlet for me. Even though high school, I had dreams of making it to the pros to continue my athletic goals. Although my athletic career has come to an end, my itch to work in professional sports remains. It is still my dream to work in professional football, to work with the athletes and put out a good product for the fans to enjoy.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is Professional Football, but I enjoy all of the major sports. My favorite teams are the New England Patriots (don’t hate), LA Angels, Phoenix Suns, and FC Cincinnati.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In 5 years, I want to hold a full-time position in the NFL. There are a few areas I would like to get into, including Stadium operations, Football Operations, and Event operations.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My Dream Job is the NFL at the highest position obtainable. GM or Director of a specific area would be a fantastic opportunity. My next job is going to be a full-time position with an NFL organization or league office.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? A unique trait I bring to the team is my ability to work and grow relationships with everyone. I have the skills to be a follower and a leader. I play well with others’ strengths and weaknesses to help achieve any goal.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? The biggest sport business accomplishment has been my internship with the Florence Y’alls Baseball club during the pandemic. With the industry at a standstill and many internships canceled, it was frustrating as a young professional trying to prove myself. The Florence Y’alls opportunity gave me a chance to prove that I am willing to overcome adversity and work toward my dream.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to grow my network and make lifetime friendships with other professionals within the sports industry. I also believe that this will be an excellent opportunity to listen and learn from everyone to make myself a better young professional.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite city I visited was a trip to Boston in 2019. My girlfriend and I visited historical sites such as the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum and Sports venues such as Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium. My trip was so enjoyable I have considered making it my permanent home.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A fun fact about me is that I was born in Australia. Because of my dad's military career, I have had the opportunity to live in 5 countries and visited many more.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I attended Mount St. Joseph University from fall 2015–Spring 2019. I graduated in Sports Management and currently reside in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? I have been involved in sports for the majority of my life. I participated in volleyball, basketball, and softball in high school along with club volleyball in college. I got the opportunity to work at collegiate events and ref intramural volleyball. I wanted to get into the sports industry since much of my life revolved around sports and I wasn’t ready to give up the excitement I get from being involved in sports.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport to play is basketball but my favorite sports to watch are softball, basketball, volleyball, and football. My favorite sports team is the Green Bay Packers.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I would like to have a job with a sports team within the collegiate or professional atmosphere. I would like to have a job within the operations and event planning of a sport team and their complex.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to work hand in hand with a professional team. I would like to work with their travel arrangements or the event operations for the team directly. I really like the idea of being able to plan out schedules whether it is weekly or monthly. It is critical in this type of job to be able to adapt to fast-changing environments and I believe that is something I strive to do and look forward to doing in my own life.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? What I bring to the team is the flexibility to work as a team or individually in fast-paced environments. I believe I am a reliable person along with being able to understand the relationships of all team members and provide the needed information to create a successful environment.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest sport business accomplishment so far is working hand in hand with setting up, working, and taking down collegiate events at SVSU. This was a great opportunity to get a glimpse of what I would expect to do with the operations and maintenance of a sports complex. I was able to gain knowledge about the process of how collegiate events are run.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain the experience of working in a fast-paced environment and being able to work as a team with other members with different strengths than me. I hope to gain tips through the workshops such as better communication skills, resume formats, and learning more leadership styles.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite city or country I have visited was Prague, Czech Republic. I was able to travel to Prague last March prior to COVID-19 with a leadership program through SVSU. We were able to experience the cultural differences along with visiting business professionals within the Czech Republic and understanding their type of leadership roles.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A fun fact about me or a hidden talent I have is I can do salon-quality nails. I have been doing this for about 5 years now. I got my nails done for my junior prom and then decided I wanted to keep doing them myself to save money. I watched the nail tech as she did my nails and was able to figure out the process. I am able to create nails using sculpting gel and I also use shellac. I frequently do my friends’ nails.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I’m currently attending Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan. I’m in my fourth and final year and my major is Business Management with a minor in Marketing. I will be graduating in May 2021. I am from Negaunee, located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.


Sam Clark

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? A love for the atmosphere of Game Day and the way even a losing franchise can unite a city. I love the way sports can bring people together. They are one of the only things where the rules are the same in any language.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? VP of Marketing

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? VP of Marketing for an NHL Franchise

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? Experience working large scale events as part of a third party team

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? Growing the role of Partnership Marketing Coordinator for USA Swimming to help organize the team and better communicate with Partners.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain yet more experience working within a different organization and the opportunity to keep getting my name and abilities in front of more executives.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? I love to go horseback riding whenever I can and even competed for a short time.

Jordan Johnson

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? I was drawn to the sport industry because of the excitement and energy that surrounds it. I love to be a part of the energy of events and seeing fans so excited for something that I get to help make possible.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is hockey and my favorite sport teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I would love to work in social/digital media or marketing for a sports organization.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to work in the NHL as part of their marketing, event, or community outreach departments. I currently work as the multimedia communications coordinator for Saint Francis University.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? A unique trait that I bring to the team is my positive attitude while working in sports. No matter what the task, I am always excited and willing to try new things. With the excitement of events, I can’t help but have a lot of energy and bring a positive attitude to what I’m doing.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest sport business accomplishment so far is interning with the Nashville Predators NHL team.

7. What do you hope to gain through theInternational Sport Business Program? Through the Sport Business Program, I hope to gain network connections and learn about one of the biggest sporting events in the world–The Super Bowl!

8. Favorite city or country you have visited My favorite city is New York City. No matter how many times I’ve been there, it never loses its magical feeling that it had the first time I visited!

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A fun fact/hobby that I have is performing in musicals. I’ve always loved singing and performing and have been in many shows!

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I attended York College of Pennsylvania for my undergraduate degree in Sport Management. I am currently pursuing an MBA in marketing at Saint Francis University. I currently live in Ebensburg, PA.


Ashley Doyle

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? My first introduction into the sports industry was working for DC United in 2017 which allowed me to find my first love which is/was operations. That is when I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. My reason now is my sister who is a student-athlete at Marymount University playing volleyball. She is why I do what I do now and would like to stay in college athletics because of her experience.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? Favorite Sport: College Basketball Favorite Teams: Washington Football Team (NFL), Washington Capitals (NHL), Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Mystics (WNBA), Maryland Terrapins (College), JMU (College), Baltimore Orioles (MLB), D.C. United (MLS).

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? Wow. 5 years. I will be 31 so I hope to at least have a job in college athletics either fundraising or student-athlete leadership development.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to be deputy AD for a college athletic department or run my own stadium one day. The next job is wherever anyone will hire me.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? It isn’t a unique trait but I am a person who loves what she does. Not everyone is built for the sports industry and don’t realize that experiences like this and being able to work in athletics at any level is a privilege. All my friends think is oh I get to watch the game etc. No, I actually have to work and honestly probably couldn’t tell you the score of the game. I love the chaos that sports can bring, and I thrive in those environments.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? Being able to volunteer for the Final Four in 2019 & the Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament in 2020. Experiences that I will cherish forever because I learned so much from both of those tournaments and how it works on a big scale and little scale.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I plan to be a sponge during this experience. I want to be able to connect with individuals on a professional level but also on a personal level. We all have something to learn from each other and I think that is what is so unique and exciting about this program.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? I enjoy podcast way too much recently. I feel like I am always finding a new one to listen to.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? After my two surgeries, I was not able to play lacrosse anymore, so I put my energy into graphic design and photography. I created several promotional videos for my team and used these skills to apply for several internships. I earned a position with the Mercyhurst football team and have been working with them for three years. I realized that even though I won’t be playing lacrosse anymore, I want to be surrounded by sports and athletes throughout my career.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is college football and my favorite team is The Ohio State Buckeyes. Both my parents went to Ohio State, so it is a family tradition to watch or attend every game. Once every season, my parents rent an RV and throw a huge tailgate for all of my family and friends.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I would like to be working in communications for a college or professional team in 5 years.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to be the director of communications for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? I am often optimistic during stressful situations. I constantly work to maintain a positive attitude while looking for the best solution to a problem.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest accomplishment so far is helping to build and run a non-profit that provides opportunities for the Erie community to come together through sports.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I am hoping to learn more about how professional sporting events are run. I want to bring back what I learn from this program to Erie360, so I can put on better events for the Erie community.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite country I have visited was Scotland. I traveled to Edinburgh to play in the 2015 FIL Women’s U-19 World Cup after my senior year of high school.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? My hobby is photography, especially sports photography. It is the reason I am still involved in sports today.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2019 with my BA and in 2020 with my MA. I studied psychology, sport studies, and organizational leadership. I am currently living in Erie, PA with two dogs and two roommates.


Richard feller

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? I’ve been playing sports since I was very young, and I want to stay around the sports atmosphere.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is basketball, my favorite college team is the Cincinnati Bearcats, and pro team is Boston Celtics.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I would like to find a job in the event management field.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is becoming an event manager, my next job would hopefully be an assistant event coordinator to start off.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? I’m extroverted and very enthusiastic.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest accomplishment has been working at the Western and Southern Open Tennis Tournament.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I look forward to assisting in the running of an event like the Super Bowl. I also look forward to making new connections in the sports world.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? Puerto Plata Dominican Republic

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? One of my new hobbies is playing golf.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I am currently a junior at Mount St Joseph University in Delhi, Ohio. I am studying sport management and I plan on getting a master’s of business too. I live in Harrison, Ohio.


Trey Harmon

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? I have always wanted to work in sports. I grew up playing sports my whole life, so I thought the career of an athletic trainer would be fun. Once I started schooling, I was asked to be our university mascot. As the mascot, I saw more of the marketing side of sports, and I enjoyed that more than anything. After the mascot experience, I switched into a sport management major and started working in the marketing department for Idaho State Athletics.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is baseball, but I also enjoy football, basketball, and hockey. My favorite teams are the LA Angels, Phoenix Suns, Vegas Golden Knights, and Baltimore Ravens.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I would like to be a director of marketing for a Division 1 school or professional sports franchise.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? Dream job would be an athletic director at a Division 1 school, and my next job would be an assistant director of marketing.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? I work extremely hard for success and find ways to get tasks done to perfection.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest accomplishment so far is getting accepted into a master’s program and working as a graduate assistant.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain the experience working/interning at a big sporting event so I can put it on my resume and use that experience to learn more about the field.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite city would be Orlando, Florida.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A fun fact was that I got my start in sports as Idaho State’s mascot.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I received my undergrad in sport management from Idaho State, and I’m studying for my master’s in athletic administration from Idaho State, too. I have also lived in Pocatello, Idaho my entire life.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Growing up playing and being involved with sports on a daily basis, I have developed a passion for the sports world and would enjoy being involved with sports in some fashion.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is soccer. Some of my favorite sports teams are Liverpool, Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Yankees.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In the next 5 years, I hope to have a job in sports communications.

4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job My dream job would be working in sports communications for a team during a championship run.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? A unique trait that I bring to the team is a sense of positivity and previous experience with Living Sport.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest sport business accomplishment so far was working a Tough Mudder in Scotland with Living Sport.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain experience as well as building connections in the sports industry.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite country that I have visited is Italy.

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A fun fact about me is my ability to quote the movie “Mamma Mia” almost word for word and be able to list each song in the order they appear in the movie.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I am currently a senior at Elizabethtown College studying Public Relations. I currently reside in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Since I was two years old, I have been running track and fell in love with the sport. I realized that it became a part of who I am today because of all the opportunities.

2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is track and field. I do not have any favorite teams.

3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In five years, I would like to have the job of a Physical Therapist Assistant and Personal Trainer.

4. What is your dream job? What is your next job? My dream job is to become a Physical Therapist and the best Personal Trainer I can be.

5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? A unique trait that I bring to the team is optimism and dedication.

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest sport business accomplishment is being able to represent the Virgin Islands track and field team for the CARIFTA games.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? Through the International Sport Business Program, I hope to gain more experience, growth, and mostly develop new relationships and opportunities.

8. Favorite city or country you have visited? Guayaquil, Ecuador

9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? I love to volunteer and travel.

10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I currently attend Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Health Science with a minor in Psychology. I currently reside in the Virgin Islands.
