Jared ho
1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? After touring the football stadium at The Ohio State University, working with sports seemed like a very interesting industry. Seeing the behind the scenes of only the concession stands, it made me start thinking about how a sports team operates.
2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is rugby. I played it for 4 years in high school and wish I was able to continue it. I really enjoy watching the New Zealand All Blacks and the South African Springboks.
3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In the next 5 years, I would like to be working at a stadium. Whether that be with an operations team or with the food and beverage side of the stadium, working in a stadium seems very interesting.
4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to be a manager of an event center. At the moment, I really think planning and operating events is an interesting position. The details of operations require a lot of organization and pre-planning, which I think I have a knack for.
5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? A unique trait that I bring to a team is the ability to try and involve everyone to truly become a connected team.
6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? I have not had any sport business interaction. This is my first introduction to sport business!
7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? Through this, I hope to gain insight into a new industry that I have not experienced before. It allows me to broaden my horizons and try new things before I graduate to understand what I want to truly pursue after graduating.
8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite country I have visited is Singapore. Not only do the majority of my extended family live there, the cultural melting pot of the country makes it such a diverse and fun place to explore.
9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? One fun fact about me is that I am a third-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
10. What college did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I currently attend The Ohio State University pursuing a dual degree in Operations and Hospitality Management in Columbus, Ohio.
Erie Grant
1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Growing up my dad has gotten me to do all sorts of sports at a young age. I went through pretty much all sports. The thrill of playing sports and competing is what I enjoyed the most when playing those sports. Being an athlete is what made me realize I wanted to work in the sports industry.
2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sport is soccer. The game of soccer is very difficult and takes a lot of focus and skill to play. My favorite soccer team is FC Bayern Munich.
3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In 5 years I would like to be president of a sports agency or soccer team.
4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to own and run a soccer team.
5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? A unique trait I bring to the team is perseverance and the will to keep on moving forward.
6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest sports business accomplishment is working with TD Garden as a consultant to assist them in their big project and new addition to the TD Garden, Hub on Causeway.
7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain hands on experience and an understanding on how sports business and culture is internationally.
8. Favorite city or country you have visited? My favorite city I’ve visited is Toronto.
9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A hobby of mine I like doing is playing pick up soccer.
10. What college do/did you attend? What was your Major? What city do you reside in currently? I am attending Johnson & Wales University and I am a Sport, Entertainment, and Event Management major. I am from Montclair, NJ.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? Sports have been such a foundational part of my life that I thought there was no better way to enjoy my work than surround myself with something I’m passionate about. Doesn’t matter which sport or where in the world, I just enjoy being around the culture and community of sports.
2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? Favorite sport is definitely baseball. A few of my favorite teams include the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres.
3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? In 5 years, I hope to be working in the marketing department for one of my favorite professional teams.
4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My true dream job of being the starting hall-of-fame shortstop for the New York Yankees has sadly come to a close, but my current dream job involves becoming some sort of manager or liaison for international sporting events. I would love to be assigned to facilitate international match-ups such as the MLB London series or NBA in Mexico, as well as brainstorm ideas for new events across the globe. My next job will hopefully be in a marketing role for some professional sports league or team, but I’d also be interested in seeing how smaller teams operate as well.
5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? Besides being incredibly good at foosball, I believe I can be a friendly face that the team enjoys talking to. I intend to work my hardest on the program, but at the end of the day, I also want to have a good time and make others feel comfortable being themselves.
6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? My biggest sport business accomplishment so far is helping the Stephen C. O’Connell Center in their effort to hire new employees for the fall 2020 semester. It was challenging considering the COVID-19 pandemic was fully underway, but the results were satisfying as we recruited enough workers to successfully run fall sporting events.
7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain valuable knowledge and improve upon my skills through the program, which I can utilize to help Rugby ATL in their efforts, as well as leverage later down the road in my future employment opportunities. I also hope to gain some solid connections with everyone I meet along the way.
8. Favorite city or country you have visited? Favorite country I visited would have to be Ireland. After spending a few months over there on an academic business program, I really got to see everything they have to offer from the storied history, to the rich sports culture, to the incredible fish and chips.
9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? A fun fact about me is that I once signed up for an e-sports intramural NHL tournament through my university, only to accidentally forfeit myself when my opponent was the one actually forfeiting.

I currently attend the University of Florida and just graduated with my undergraduate degree in Business Administration. I’m currently studying to get my Master’s degree in International Business, so I will be in Gainesville for the next year.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? I have grown up having a love for watching sports and playing them. When I got to college I loved connecting what I learned in the classroom to my favorite sports and found that I have enough love for sports to work with them.
2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? I love Football! I’m a born and raised Cowboys fan.
3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? Anything where I can gain experience in the public relations or marketing industry.
4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? My dream job is to work in social media marketing for any sports team. I found a love for this during college and love putting my creative side to work with social media.
5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? I view myself as a positive person who tries to uplift others when they need it.
6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? Working in the Athletic Communications Department at SUNY Oswego. I learned lots of techniques like social media marketing, game operations and learning how to import softball/baseball stats.
7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I have never been to Atlanta so I hope to be able to expand my experiences in a new environment with a new sport I’m learning about.

1. What made you want to get into the sports industry? I have always had a passionate interest in sports and I hope to find a career that I would actually enjoy and find interesting.
2. What is your favorite sport? Favorite sports teams? My favorite sports are baseball and football; my favorite teams are the Yankees, Jets, and NY Rangers.
3. What job would you like to have in 5 years? I hope to have a job in the sports industry that will get me closest to my dream job.
4. What is your dream job? What’s your next job? I do not have another job lined up at the moment. My dream job is to work in the front office of a MLB/NFL franchise.
5. What is a unique trait that you bring to our team? Since I have had limited experience within the sports industry, I will be open to any and every opportunity that this program provides. I won’t allow myself to limit what opportunities to take advantage of since I’m more or less just getting started.
6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far? I haven’t had much professional experience; however the sales academy I participated in made me much more confident in my abilities.
7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program? I hope to gain professional experience in a variety of sports and sectors within the sports industry. With these experiences I hope to better understand where in the sports industry I’d really want to pursue a career.
8. Favorite city or country you have visited? I visited Ukraine in 2014 when the country was enduring political turmoil. While I wasn’t in that part of the country it was certainly a unique experience.
9. What’s a hobby, a fun fact about you, or hidden talent you may have? I have a strong memory especially when it comes to sports. I have a wealth of knowledge about past trades, player stats and information. I doubt it will come up in a significant way during the program but it’s another skill that highlights my passion for sports.
