Well, Dublin team we will all soon be departing for our travels to Ireland! Safe travels to all!


Lets get to know the DUBLIN 2018 team!

At Living Sport, one of our main goals is to connect people to help grow their professional network. We have all heard that networking is a necessity in the sport industry and it is definitely true. The staff at Living Sport has all had help from their network along their journey through sport. Our Living Sport Dublin Team with get to know each other very well on our adventure and it is our hope that each relationship lasts a lifetime! Lets meet a few of our teammates.

Caroline becker

1. What made you want to get into sport management?

Being an athlete in college really made me fall in love with the entire sports industry. I realized that when I graduated and would no longer be a student athlete, I still wanted to have sports be a part of my every day life, so I decided to pursue a career in professional sports.

 

2. Your favorite sport? Your favorite sport teams?

3. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

In 5 years I would like to be working for the community relations department of a professional sports team.

 

4. What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be the head of an NFL team’s Non- profit foundation or to run a Non- Profit organization.

 

5. What is a unique trait you bring to the DUBLIN team?

I think a unique trait I bring to the Dublin team is my experience working on a team. I was fortunate enough to be a part of an NCAA team during my four years of college, and one of the major things I learned during that time was how important teamwork is, not only just for my time on the team, but even for my professional career going forward.  

 

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

Working for the Minnesota Vikings and working Super Bowl LII.

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

I hope to not only increase my knowledge of the sports industry but also gain valuable International work experience

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

Lake Placid, NY.

 

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

I have ridden horses my whole life and received a scholarship to ride for Auburn’s Division 1 Equestrian team.

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I graduated from Auburn University in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business- Management. I recently moved back to my hometown in New Jersey after living in Minneapolis for a year.

1. What made you want to get into sport management?

I have always loved sports, but I didn’t really develop a passion for them until my sophomore year of college. I was going through a difficult time and hockey really became an escape for me. I love the dedication and the sense of family that sports offer and I really want to be a part of that.

 

2. Your favorite sport? Your favorite sport teams?

My favorite sport is hockey. My favorite teams are the Blues, Maple Leafs and the Golden Knights.

 

3. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

In five years, I would like to be a media relations coordinator for an NHL team.

 

4. What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be vice president of public relations for an NHL team. .

 

5. What is a unique trait you bring to the DUBLIN team?

An unique trait that I bring is dedication. When I am given a project, especially one that I am very passionate about, I will make sure that that project gets done and is correct.

 

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

My biggest sport business accomplishment so far has been being able to work for the two major sports teams in St. Louis, the Blues and the Cardinals.

 

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

I hope to gain sports business experience in a different culture, new sports friends, and an experience that I can always brag about.

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

My favorite city is Phoenix, Arizona. I’m hoping to move out there someday soon.

 

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

My favorite hobby is either photography or dance. I’ve been dabbling in photography for six years now and I am always looking for new adventures to go shoot. Although I no longer dance as often, I was a dancer for 16 years and ended my career as a National Champion dancer.

 

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. I majored in Advertising, Public Relations: Corporate Communications. I still live in the St. Louis area.

Saqoya bennett

1. What made you want to get into sport management?

My love for the game of basketball made me want to get into the sports industry. My passion for the game developed at an early age when I started playing basketball.

 

2. Your favorite sport? Your favorite sport teams?

My favorite sport is basketball. I don’t have a favorite team but I like different players such as Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and many others.

 

3. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

I would like to work for the Houston Rockets.

 

4. What is your dream job?

I want to work for an NBA team.

 

5. What is a unique trait you bring to the DUBLIN team?

My drive and determination helps me to keep going at all times.

 

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

My biggest sport business accomplishment is becoming the Assistant Women’s Varsity Basketball Coach at St. Thomas Episcopal School.

 

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

To become more knowledgeable about sport business and grow as an individual.

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

My favorite place I have visited is Hawaii.

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

I love Chick-Fil-A.

  

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Wellness and Recreation Management. I reside in Houston, TX.

1. What made you want to get into sport management?

My passion for sports and my drive to be a successful business person. Combine both of these aspects and you have the perfect choice in a college major in sport management. My first realization on how attractive the sporting industry was, was when I was interning in the membership services department with the New York Red Bulls. The atmosphere of the office on game days and on regular work days was what really solidified my love for the sporting industry.

 

2. Your favorite sport? Your favorite sport teams?

My favorite sport is definitely baseball. My top five favorite sports teams in no particular order are the NY Mets, Manchester City FC, Leinster Rugby, the Irish National Rugby team, and the NY Giants

 

3. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

I would love to be working in a top sport marketing department in any of the top sports leagues in the USA or Europe.

 

4. What is your dream job?

The senior marketing manager for the New York Mets.

 

5. What is a unique trait you bring to the DUBLIN team?

The ability to thrive in a team-based atmosphere.

 

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

My sport business career is only beginning at the moment, so I would have to say completing my lengthy internship with the Red Bulls.

 

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

A memorable experience, working alongside some of the best young talent in the sporting industry. I would also like to build a network with each person I come in contact with, whether it be an established sport business individual or one of my peers that I will be working with.

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

Dublin, Ireland.

 

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

My favorite hobby is staying fit and active. A hidden talent of mine is resourcefulness.

 

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I attended the State University of New York at Cortland. I have a degree in Sport Management. I currently reside in Yonkers, NY.

1. What made you want to get into sport management?

Obviously the idea came from the love of sports; however, I love how hands on jobs are, I enjoy coming in contact with new people from everywhere, and sport is a different kind of product to sell that can be tangible but also intangible with the experience aspect.

 

2. Your favorite sport? Your favorite sport teams?

Hockey. Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes.

 

3. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

I would like to be working in the marketing department for the Penguins or Steelers.

 

4. What is your dream job?

My dream job would be to be a part of the marketing department or executive office for an NHL team, ideally the Penguins, Hurricanes, or Golden Knights.

 

5. What is a unique trait you bring to the DUBLIN team?

Having served on executive committees for both Zeta Tau Alpha and RMU’s Sport Management Association, I like to focus working as a team so everyone can succeed and learn something; as well as, being an experienced leader.

 

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

It would either be being accepted into this program or the fact that I am going into my 3rd season working with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

 

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

I hope to gain a new perspective of the sport industry, an understanding of how things work differently overseas, expand my network, and meet people that I can have long lasting relationships with. I am also looking forward to exploring Dublin and my Irish heritage.

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

I love living in Pittsburgh honestly but I absolutely love Raleigh, NC.

 

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

I was a trained dancer from the time I was 3 years old through my senior year of high school; I continued for two years in college on RMU’s dance team but after a rack up of injuries I had to let it go.

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I attend Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh with a Sport Management and Marketing dual major. During the school year I am living up there in Moon Township but the rest of the time I reside in West Deer close to the North Hills of Pittsburgh (I am about 30 minutes from downtown).

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

Getting accepted into the Sport Management program at WSU

 

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

Experience to boost my resume and a fun experience touring another country. 

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

Cabo, Mexico

 

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

My hobbies are mostly just playing sports.

 

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I attend Washington State University

Liam Medina

1. What made you want to get into sport management?

I wanted to get into the sport industry because, growing up playing three sports and trying many more, I was always attracted to the competition and fanfare surrounding these games. I hope to work in the industry in order to promote these things and working diligently in a position I love watching and talking about the sports I love.

 

2. Your favorite sport? Your favorite sport teams?

My favorite sport is soccer, and my favorite club is Chelsea FC. I also liked the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, and New York Jets.

 

3. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

My dream position in five years would be working somewhere in Europe with a professional soccer club, and the ideal position would be one that offers a lot of opportunities for travel!

 

4. What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be a sporting or technical director with a professional soccer club in Europe.

 

5. What is a unique trait you bring to the DUBLIN team?

My dream job is to be a sporting or technical director with a professional soccer club in Europe.

 

6. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

I wouldn’t say I have had a big sport business accomplishment so far, this experience will probably being my biggest, but I think I would have to say working the Spalding HoopHall Classic this past year and taking advantage of who I was around would have to be.

 

7. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

I hope to gain valuable experience working internationally, as I hope to do in the near future once again, and really discover from the people who have such great experience how they achieved their success and what I can do in order to fulfill my ambitions.

 

8. Favorite city you have visited?

My favorite city by far that I have been too is Amsterdam, but really loved studying in Spain for a semester and also fell in love with Madrid.

 

9. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

I have always been an avid golfer, although not very good at it, and now that I have been working at a golf course the past few months I only find myself on the course more often.

 

10. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I am currently entering my senior year at Springfield College, as a sport management major and a minor in business administration and sport analytics. I currently reside in South Hadley, MA.

1. What job would you like to have in the next five years?

I would like to be a videographer/editor.

 

2. What is your dream job?

To work for Disney!

 

3. What is your biggest sport business accomplishment so far?

Hm, I would have to say making promos for several comic cons. I even got to conduct interviews with former Power Rangers.

 

4. What do you hope to gain through the International Sport Business Program?

Certainly, the experience, but I’m also part Irish and would love to discover more of my culture.

 

5. Favorite city you have visited?

Ocean City Maryland, its like a second home to me.

 

6. Tell us about hobby, fun fact, or hidden talent you have.

I’m collecting old gaming systems, I just got a NES Toploader!

 

7. What college/university do you attend? Where do you reside now?

I went to Kutztown University, studying Electronic Media. I’m from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
